On 13/09/2000 a Ammonia Gas Leakage was reported from SeaHath Canning Company of can fish products. The leakage was plugged after 12 hrs. The leakage was due to the bursting of valves from the Ammonia Gas line linked to the tank containing about 250 pounds of Ammonia. Water was released in the plant to dilute the Ammonia. The said incident was attended by Goa State Fire & Emergency Services.
