On 24/06/2007 incessant rains accompanied by gusty winds hampered the State, with large number of incidents relating to uprooting of trees and water logging taking place all around the State. Among major incidents 3 women from Curchorem, Quepem and Panjim were injured in tree uprooting separate incidents. While landslide was observed near the helipad at Sinquerim but there was no loss of life. Overall 39 houses were damaged in the District and in Qupem 22 houses were damaged.
