On 6/08/2007 heavy rains accompanied by wind in South Goa damaged property due to uprooting of trees and damaged houses in some parts. Over 100 people from Kharaband were shifted to Nehru Stadium, Margao. The four main rivers in South Goa namely Sal, Kushawati, Talpona and Galgibag overflowed their banks due to continuous downpour. However no casualties were reported.
