On 15/09/2007 fire occurred to Distillery Unit in Suctolim-Mollem wherein about 40,000 liters of Spirit was smouldered, a Tanker, Plastic Liquor bottles and other machinery were gutted in the fire while transferring of spirit from the tanker to the main tanks of the Tetra Queen Distillery. A short circuit in the motor, pumping the spirit is believed to have sparked off the fire, which quickly engulfed the tanker, whisky tank, brandy bottles and other material in the factory. However no casualties were reported. The said incident was attended by Goa State Fire & Emergency Services.
