On 19/08/2011, a major fire incident occurred at Daktulem, Mangor, Vasco where fire had spread along the water channel covering area of approximately 3000 sq. mtrs. due to Naphtha leak. More than 200 persons were evacuated from the vicinity by Goa State Fire & Emergency Services. Four persons sustained burn injuries.
