On 02/12/2017, a mining dump collapsed at Vedanta Mines, Codli, Vaghona, Dharbandora-Goa and a Ripper Dozer along with its operator were buried under the mining pit. Immediately the Search operation commenced. Meanwhile a Bolero Jeep which was near the dump went down in the pit due to which duty crew decided to move to a safe area. The duty crew along with the personnel of M/s. Vedanta Limited jointly continued the Search Operation and retrieved the body of the Victim Shri. Manoj A. Naik.
