On 19/01/2018 a Tanker carrying 20,000 litres of Ammonia had overturned causing leakage of Ammonia at Chicalim Airport Road, Vasco which had spread along the road and produced thick white vapour cloud within the vicinity. Overall 200 people in the vicinity were evacuated and the leak was arrested by Goa State Fire & Emergency Services along with officials of Zuari Industries Limited and MPT Fire Service.
